Overview:
Ouch My Back Moving is a leading moving company in Victoria, BC, known for our commitment to professional, reliable, and friendly moving services. We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Movers and Drivers. This role is ideal for those who thrive in a physically active environment and enjoy providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate moving trucks and other company vehicles.
- Pack, load, and unload household goods with attention to safety and efficiency.
- Use moving tools and equipment (e.g., dollies, ramps, moving pads) properly to avoid damage to items and premises.
- Navigate various routes throughout Victoria and surrounding areas, occasionally involving long distances.
- Collaborate with the moving team to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing clients' needs and ensuring a positive moving experience.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, such as invoices, time sheets etc.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance checks and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
Qualifications:
- Valid BC driver’s license with a clean driving record (optional)
- Previous experience in moving services or a similar field is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent navigational and driving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
