Cold Storage and Warehouse Manager

We are currently accepting applications for a dynamic, highly skilled, and organized individual for the position of Cold Storage and Warehouse Manager to join our team at our cold storage facility in South Dildo.
The Cold Storage and Warehouse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation, safety, and efficiency of cold storage and warehouse facilities. This role oversees inventory control, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and coordination of inbound and outbound product to ensure product integrity, food safety, and operational excellence.
The Position
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Cold Storage and Warehouse Manager is responsible for the following:
- Manage daily warehouse and cold storage operations, including receiving, storage, picking, and shipping of product
- Ensure proper temperature control, monitoring, and documentation across all cold storage areas
- Maintain warehouse layout and workflows to maximize efficiency and minimize product handling risks
- Coordinate maintenance of refrigeration systems, material-handling equipment, and facility infrastructure
- Oversee accurate inventory tracking, rotation, and reconciliation; and investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, losses, or damage
- Prepare inventory and operational reports as required
- Ensure proper handling and storage of perishable and frozen products
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements (e.g., CFIA, customer standards)
- Enforce workplace health and safety policies, including cold-environment safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records related to temperature logs, sanitation, and safety
- Work closely with production, logistics, and transportation teams to align schedules and priorities
- Operate industrial tools and equipment, including forklift and handle loading and unloading of trucks.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in warehouse or cold storage operations
- Proven experience supervising staff in a warehouse or industrial environment
- Hold, or be prepared to complete, forklift operator certification
- Working knowledge of computers and inventory control
- Must be self-motivated, results oriented and work well with minimal supervision
