Chateau Le Jardin is one of the Greater Toronto Area's premier luxury banquet and event venues, renowned for hosting elegant weddings, corporate events, galas, fundraisers, and social celebrations. We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-oriented Director of Sales to lead our sales team and drive continued business growth.

Position Summary
The Director of Sales is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that maximize revenue across all event segments. This individual will lead, coach, and inspire the sales team, oversee sales performance, cultivate key client relationships, and collaborate closely with the Events, Culinary, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure the highest level of service from inquiry to event execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve annual revenue and booking targets.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Sales Consultants, fostering a high-performance and collaborative team culture.
- Conduct regular sales meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the entire sales process, ensuring prompt follow-up, accurate proposals, and exceptional customer service.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, event professionals, and community partners.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase market share.
- Analyze sales trends, booking patterns, and competitive activity to inform business decisions.
- Work closely with the Marketing team on promotional campaigns, lead generation initiatives, and brand awareness.
- Participate in networking events, bridal shows, industry associations, and community events.
- Collaborate with Operations and Event Management teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Assist with pricing strategies, package development, and revenue optimization.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably within hospitality, luxury events, hotels, or banquet facilities.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales and revenue targets.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail.
- Experience with CRM systems, Google Suites, and sales reporting tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as business needs require.
