Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine/Coater Operator. Experience in coating or laminating processes within a manufacturing environment would be an asset. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, the physical ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand for extended periods, and has exceptional attention to detail
Duties
- Set up, operate, and maintain coating/laminating equipment to apply adhesive to bond paper liners and to face stock.
- Review job specifications and ensure correct materials (liners, adhesives, face stocks) are used for each production run.
- Monitor coating application for consistency, proper adhesion, and uniform coverage throughout production.
- Adjust machine settings (tension, speed, coating weight) to meet quality and performance standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical or process issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct quality inspections, including adhesive performance, alignment, and finished material integrity.
- Record production data accurately and report any defects or process deviations.
- Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet deadlines and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a machine operator
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets, technical specifications, and production schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods.
