About the role
We’re looking for an IT Program Manager to join our growing team!
What you'll do here:
Maintain a consistent business focus and an understanding of the current strategic direction of Intact’s technologies.
Master the business case while developing an understanding of the business domain.
Manage projects by understanding the company’s strategies, priorities and issues.
Assess capabilities to propose appropriate solutions and deliver the company’s values.
Manage stakeholders and maintain good relations with internal and external collaborators.
Define the mandate of an infrastructure program/project, as well as its scope in collaboration with the program/project sponsors. Initiate project start-up activities and agree on a vision of the scope with the sponsor.
Divide the project into achievable tasks and set up a functional organizational chart with roles and responsibilities.
Develop and maintain integrated project plans by identifying deliverables and dependencies, estimating associated duration and costs, and participating in the assignment of human resources to sub-activities.
Provide timely advice to experts and sponsors throughout the project to achieve and meet the objectives. Ensure that the investment in the project provides the best deliverables/products or optimal value to the client/sponsor.
Build lead and coordinate, in direct and/or indirect supervision mode, the activities of a multidisciplinary team including Project Managers (PMs) and Project Control Officers (PCOs).
Write reports on the entire project (progress, problems, costs, closing, etc.) while respecting established performance indicators. Lead project risk management. Effectively manage project delivery.
Maintain dashboards on a periodic and progressive basis throughout the program/projects.
Anticipate problems and difficult situations and take the necessary steps to resolve them.
Ensure proactive and effective communication at all levels of the project.
Ensure that the right communication channels are in place between project collaborators.
Manage relationships with the client.
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
PMP certification (an asset).
Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
Experience in Agile project delivery.
Experience in change management.
Ease of adapting to a changing environment.
Ability to influence.
Strategic thinking and ability to challenge the status quo.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience managing projects as part of a program.
Experience working with project management tools (Clarity, MS Project, other).
Experience in resource matrix management and key project leads (if applicable) and meet their expectations.
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
