This full-time position involves working 37.5 hours per week as a Physiotherapist. You will be working with our Physiotherapy team including our current Physiotherapist, Physiotherapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist and Health Promoter at our new 5,600 sq. ft. gym facility. You will also be working collaboratively with physicians and other FHT allied health professionals within the BCFHT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, treatment, and education to patients
- Plan, implement, and evaluate methods of treatment while modifying when necessary
- Deliver Cardiac and Pulmonary rehabilitation programs
- Hydrotherapy rehabilitation
- Contribute to program planning and development of new patient programs
- Maintain standards of knowledge, skills, and participate in continuing education
- Comply with all regulations and professional directives as provided by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
Qualifications/Experience:
- Current registration with College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Experience working in a primary care setting is considered an asset
- Flexibility to respond to a fluctuating workload and changing environment
- Knowledge and sensitivity of the social determinants of health in our rural region
- Proficiency in the use of electronic health records
- Strong team work and communication skills
- Motivated professional who can work with minimal supervision
