Job Description:
- Shampoo and condition guest’s hair for a stylist
- Keep shampoo area clean and organized
- Maintain salon appearance and cleanliness
- Sweep around stylists' chairs
- Perform services on client's (example: hair cuts, hair colour, men's cut & kid's cut)
- Laundry
- Greet guests as they walk in and leave out
- Tell the appropriate technician their guest has arrived
- Inform guests when it is time to go back and get a shampoo, smock, etc
- Promote and sell services and products, including recommending and selling additional services and/or retail products which will enhance and improve the guests’ image and/or contribute to the guest's satisfaction with services performed
- Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately
- Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
- Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: $17.60 per hour starting wage
Flexible Language Requirement:
- French not required but prefered
Schedule:
- 4- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekend shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- hair styling: 1 year / graduating or graduated from hair school.
- an interest in hair and esthetics

Pay: $17.60-$18.60 per hour
