The primary purpose of the DevOps Automation Engineer Co-op is to work with the Cloud DevOps team to assist in implementing the Enterprise Cloud & DevOps strategy by working closely with subject matter experts (SME) in specific technology areas to identify, implement and promote good DevOps and Cloud practices.
Term Length: 4-months (January - April 2025)
What you will do?
Contribute to our automation codebase using the standard SLF DevOps tools, processes and standards.
Understand and adhere to the automation Policy, Standards and Security directives where applicable
Execute on the automation and Infrastructure-as-Code strategy as it relates to the use of DevOps practices.
Collaborate and gain alignment on your assigned tasks across multiple teams.
Assist in production of metrics, reports and/or dashboards across the automation portfolio to aid in measuring the effectiveness of automation and continuous improvement efforts.
What do you need to succeed?
Currently enrolled in University degree/College diploma in computer sciences, information systems or information technology.
Working knowledge or understanding of automation tools such as Ansible.
Prior use of other CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory and BitBucket.
Working knowledge of Containerization technologies.
Experience with object orientated programming in languages such as Java, Python or scripting languages.
Working knowledge and understanding of the Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
Experience of using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience with automation of common tasks on Windows or Linux OS platforms.
Familiarity of Enterprise methodologies, such as ITIL, CMMI, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using agile methodologies
Comfortable in learning and ability to become comfortable with unfamiliar businesses areas or technologies.
Good presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.
