Part-Time Art Instructor: Painting & Drawing (Children and Teens)
Art One Academy is seeking dedicated, experienced, and energetic part-time Art Instructors to teach Painting and Drawing to children and teens (ages 4–16). Hours range from 6 to 30 per week, depending on demand.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Teach Painting and Drawing in alignment with the school’s curriculum and policies.
- Develop age-appropriate instructional strategies to achieve curriculum objectives.
- Set and maintain acceptable standards of classroom behavior for a positive, orderly learning environment.
- Demonstrate proper use and care of art materials, tools, and equipment to students.
- Provide motivating, timely, and constructive feedback on assignments.
- Maintain an organized and safe studio environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues in a collaborative setting.
Qualifications
- BSc/BA or diploma in Visual Arts or a related field (Fine Arts strongly preferred).
- High fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Current First Aid certificate.
- Successful completion of a recent Police Check.
- Prior teaching experience with children or teens preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young artists.
- Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with staff and faculty.
