We are currently looking for a Permanent Part- Time RPN to fill our Director of Care position
Approx 52.5 hours bi- weekly
5 shifts consist of medication administration (0700-1500) Tuesdays, Thursdays and every other Friday
2 shift preforming audits, creating and updating care plans and other duties as assigned by the Executive Director. ( 0900-1700) every Monday
Must be available to answer calls after hours , arrange staff coverage for any sick calls. Must be available to report to work in the event no staff coverage is found to cover shift.
Qualifications and Experience
Must have previous management experience in Nursing
- Registered Practical Nurse with a current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing
- Previous management experience in LTC or Retirement preferred
- 5+ years' experience in LTC or Retirement Home required
- Knowledgeable of the Residents’ Bill of Rights and respects and promotes these rights
- Must have experience with creating, updating , revising care plans
- Knowledgeable of RHRA and other relevant legislation
- Experience using MED e-care preferred but not a requirement.
- Must have a clear vulnerable sector check, within the past 6 months
- TB results less than 90 days months.
- Valid CPR/First Aid
- Must have professional liability insurance through WeRPN
