Job Overview
Nextgen Systems Canada is seeking skilled and motivated Satellite Technicians to join our field operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing wireless broadband and satellite networking equipment at residential customer locations while delivering high-quality service and maintaining strict safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install wireless broadband and satellite networking equipment at customers’ homes.
- Complete installations, service calls, and repairs using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Terminate network cables and route cabling through walls, ceilings, and other building structures as required.
- Utilize company mobile applications to manage service calls, update job status, and submit reports.
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly documentation of service tickets, installations, and repairs.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, field operations procedures, and safety regulations.
- Provide professional and customer-focused service during all installations and service visits.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Company.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in satellite installation, telecommunications, or broadband networking is considered an asset.
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and basic installation equipment.
- Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use mobile applications and digital reporting tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Job Type: Full-time
