Join our dynamic team as a Sales Advisor/Service Writer, where you will be the vital link between our valued customers and our expert automotive service team. This role offers the opportunity to combine your passion for everything vehicle related with your talent for customer service and sales, ensuring every guest receives a seamless, informative, and friendly experience. As a key contributor, you will guide customers from quoting our services, recommending/upselling additional services, and helping to drive our local small business to success through exceptional communication and sales skills. This position will be Monday to Friday 8-5 with the occasional Saturday required. For the right person, this position has the potential to grow into a store manager position, leading the whole team.
starting wage $26.00/hr. and will commensurate with experience.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly on the sales floor and over the phone to assess their automotive film and detailing needs with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Explain install procedures, estimates, and service package options clearly and transparently
- Write detailed service orders, accurately documenting customer service requests
- Upsell recommended services and maintenance packages to enhance vehicle outcomes
- Liaise with shop coordinator & technicians to ensure timely completion of installs while keeping customers informed of progress
- Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and manage financial records securely
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term relationships
- Capable of learning/utilizing comprehensive film cutting sofware and POS software
Skills
- Automotive related experience and background in automotive service/sales and service writing
- Strong automobile knowledge to effectively communicate technical details
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to upsell services confidently without being pushy
- Competence in cash handling, payment processing, and basic administrative tasks
- Effective communication skills to liaise between customers and technicians seamlessly
