Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Culinary /Hospitality Management Teacher to deliver high-quality culinary management education to our students. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in culinary arts, along with expertise in management principles, allowing them to effectively teach students the intersection of culinary skills and business management.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging curriculum for culinary management courses, including lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
Instruct students in culinary management principles, techniques, and best practices.
Provide hands-on demonstrations and practical training in areas such as menu planning, cost control, food safety, and leadership.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth.
Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and assist with academic advising.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in culinary management to enhance curriculum content.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in culinary management roles, with a strong understanding of business operations in the culinary industry.
Teaching experience or a strong passion for education and sharing knowledge.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Industry certifications (e.g., ServSafe, Certified Executive Chef) are a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
Compensation:
The salary for this part-time position ranges from $23 to $28 per hour, commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of future culinary professionals in a dynamic and supportive educational environment.
