Job Summary:
As a Concrete Forming Foreman at Torino, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the concrete forming process for various construction projects. Your expertise in concrete construction, leadership skills, and attention to detail will ensure the successful execution of projects while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
Lead a team of concrete construction workers, including laborers, carpenters, and other skilled trades, to execute concrete forming projects according to design specifications, schedules, and safety regulations.
Plan and Coordination:
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings. Develop work plans, schedules, and resource allocation to meet project deadlines.
Concrete Forming:
Coordinate and supervise the setup and installation of concrete forms, shoring, and reinforcing materials. Ensure accurate alignment and placement of forms to achieve desired concrete shapes and dimensions.
Quality Control:
Monitor all aspects of the concrete forming process to maintain high-quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and address any issues related to formwork, reinforcing, and concrete placement.
Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines. Conduct regular safety meetings, hazard assessments, and ensure that all team members follow appropriate safety procedures.
Equipment and Material Management:
Manage the inventory of tools, equipment, and materials needed for concrete forming. Coordinate the delivery and distribution of materials to the work site.
Communication:
Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and subcontractors. Provide updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
Problem Solving:
Identify and address any potential issues or challenges that may arise during the concrete forming process. Propose solutions and adjustments to ensure project continuity.
Team Development:
Train and mentor new team members in proper concrete forming techniques, safety practices, and company policies. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in concrete construction and formwork, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a foreman or supervisor.
- Strong understanding of concrete forming techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of construction professionals.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and the ability to enforce them effectively.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions and challenging environments.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
