Job Summary
Tabule is seeking a motivated and experienced Manager to support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations. The restaurant manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring a seamless guest experience, maintaining operational excellence, and fostering a positive team environment. This role requires a strong background in restaurant management, team leadership, and financial oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Ensure an exceptional guest experience by upholding high service and quality standards.
- Support staff recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Lead by example, motivating and coaching staff to foster a strong team culture.
- Monitor financial performance, control costs, and assist with budgeting and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and conflict resolution professionally.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and vendor relations.
- Support marketing initiatives and community engagement to enhance brand presence.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant management or supervisory role.
- Degree/Diploma in Hospitality, Business Management, or a related field is an asset.
- Smart Serve certification required; First Aid and Food Handler certification are assets.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in team training, development, and performance management.
- Financial acumen with experience in cost control and sales analysis.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for hospitality.
- Additional beverage training, such as wine certification or mixology courses, is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Toast, is considered an asset.
