Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse / Forklift Operator to support our production and warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe handling, storage, and movement of materials, while ensuring compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and OHS (Occupational Health & Safety) standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move materials and finished goods
- Receive, inspect, quarantine, and store raw materials and packaging components
- Stage and supply materials to production in accordance with the production schedule
- Restock materials returned from production and ensure accurate inventory tracking
- Load and unload shipments, verify quantities, and report discrepancies
- Maintain proper labeling, storage conditions, and inventory organization
- Perform cycle counts and assist with full inventory counts as required
- Identify and manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory
- Ensure compliance with GMP, cleanliness, and safety standards at all times
- Complete required documentation accurately (receiving logs, inventory records, batch records, etc.)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse environment
- Support general warehouse duties and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid forklift certification (required or willing to obtain)
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment preferred
- Experience with inventory systems (ERP systems such as Sage X3 is an asset)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory handling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and warehouse best practices
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with GMP or regulated environments is an asset
Reporting & Working Relationships
- Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
- Works closely with: Production, Quality Assurance, Logistics, and Operations teams
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $22.00+/hour (based on experience)
