Job summary:
Event staff is responsible for working under the instructions of an event coordinator, assuming the role of ticket taker, greeting guests, inspecting equipment for damage after use, and checking equipment against an inventory list, among other duties.
Moreover, event staff need to constantly be on their feet and attend to the many needs of event-goers, requiring physical stamina and high energy levels.
Responsibilities of the job include:
- Unloading equipment from trucks and setting up venues/booths for events
- Operating cash registers.
- Working under the instructions of an Event Coordinator
- Ensuring the venue/booth is clean and organized.
- Adhering to event safety standards.
- Ensuring excellent levels of customer service.
- Assuming the role of Ticket Taker (when serving cocktails)
- Greeting customers
- Set up/tear down
- Serving drinks
- Dispensing useful information to event-goers.
- Inspecting equipment for damage after use and checking it against an inventory list.
- Packing up equipment when the event is completed
- Picking up product and equipment if needed for an event
Cashier responsibilities:
- Issue change, receipts, and refunds.
- Redeem stamps and coupons.
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
- Make sales referrals, cross-sell products, and introduce new ones.
- Evening Shift Closing/Weekend Shift Opening and Closing
- Completing closing checklist
- Strong Communication Skills
- Learning all aspects of Dixon's Distilled Spirits to properly inform customers
- Knowledge or willingness to learn information to guide Tours & Tastings**
You must have your Smart Serve or willingness to obtain to work at Dixon's.
You must have reliable transportation, you'll get reimbursement on gas for certain events.
Pay: From $17.95 per hour
