We are hiring a skilled Handyman / Maintenance Contractor to support residential apartment turnovers and general maintenance across condominium units in different locations in the GTA.
This is a hands-on role involving unit preparation, repairs, and maintenance work to ensure apartments are fully move-in ready.
Scope of work
- Complete full apartment turnovers (start to finish)
- Perform general handyman repairs, touch-ups, and installations
- Painting, patching, caulking, and minor drywall repair
- Repair doors, frames, hinges, handles, and closet hardware
- Replace light bulbs, smoke detectors, and basic fixtures
- Basic plumbing repairs (e.g., P-traps, minor leaks)
- Conduct unit inspections and identify maintenance issues
- Coordinate with subcontractors when needed (plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
- Use mobile app to log work, photos, and updates
- Participate in on-call rotation (evenings/weekends as required)
Must-Have Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in handyman, maintenance, or superintendent role
- Must own a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Must have own basic toolset
- Smartphone with data plan (iOS or Android)
- Ability to travel across GTA daily
- Physically able to lift up to 25 kg and work on ladders
- Strong English communication skills
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Willing to undergo background check
Nice to Have:
- Construction or renovation experience
- Condominium maintenance or property management experience
