Position Summary
The Supervisor, Phase I is responsible for overseeing the daily production process, supervising a team of employees, coordinating repairs and maintenance, and ensuring production goals are achieved safely and efficiently. This role plays a key part in minimizing downtime while maintaining quality and safety standards throughout the operation.
What You Will Do
- Supervise daily production activities to ensure equipment, machinery, and materials are operating efficiently and production standards are met.
- Coordinate work assignments, provide training, and support farm employees in the safe operation of equipment and completion of daily tasks.
- Organize production materials and report any discrepancies to the General Manager.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, production records, and quality control documentation.
- Monitor employee performance and ensure all safety and production procedures are followed.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment or coordinate servicing to minimize downtime.
- Ensure equipment and machinery are cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis.
- Promote and enforce farm safety and biosecurity practices.
- Assist with other duties as required to support the operation.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of experience operating and maintaining a farming operation is required.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and teamwork.
