Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of food handling and preparation.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
- Maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen tools.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with other kitchen staff.
