Company: Confidential — a growing Calgary-based cleantech company.

About Us
We're a growing cleantech company headquartered in Calgary, developing and manufacturing hardware that's deployed commercially today. We're designing Version 4 of our flagship product, and we need a dedicated Draftsperson to own the drawing package that takes it from design to build. We're keeping our name confidential at this stage of the search — qualified candidates will learn more during the interview process.
The Role
You'll be the single point of ownership for all of our new version drawings — creating them, managing changes and revisions, and making sure everything is filed, approved, and complete. The drawing scope spans the full product: manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, piping, electrical, and structural. You'll work in continual coordination with the design team, process engineering, and manufacturing to keep documentation accurate and build-ready.
What You'll Do
- Create and oversee all of the new version drawings, including filing and change management, ensuring appropriate approvals are in place
- Produce drawings across the full scope: manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, piping, electrical, and structural
- Work in the agreed-upon CAD modelling software Creo
- Manage revision tracking
- Develop accurate and complete Bills of Materials and parts lists
- Ensure adequate technical requirements are outlined in all documentation
- Coordinate continually with the entire team
- Collaborate with engineers and project Team to interpret design concepts and produce precise drafts.
What You Bring
- Diploma or certificate in Drafting, Engineering Design Technology, or a related program
- 3+ years of drafting experience, ideally on industrial equipment or fabricated products
- Strong proficiency with 3D CAD software (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD)
- Experience producing drawings across multiple disciplines — mechanical, piping, electrical, and/or structural
- Experience with revision control, change management, and document filing systems
- Detail-oriented, with a track record of producing accurate BOMs and parts lists
- Strong communication skills and comfort coordinating with engineers, manufacturing, and shop staff
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with fabrication and welding drawings or pressure equipment documentation
- Experience supporting a product through design iterations into production
Why Join Us
- Own the complete drawing package for a major product redesign
- Multi-discipline scope — far more variety than a single-discipline drafting seat
- Small, collaborative team where your drawings go straight to the shop floor
Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
