Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to care for 2 warm and friendly seniors. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to one disabled senior. Live in or private room and board is optional for right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assist client with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, changing of incontinence products and dressing.
- Provide companionship to clients, engaging them in conversation and activities.
- Help clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding
- Assist with dementia care strategies for clients experiencing memory loss or cognitive decline.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home care, assisted living, is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting or transferring clients when necessary.
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques is a plus.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
- Cantonese speaking would be helpful but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
