This position is responsible for supporting the internal and external reporting requirements for Creditor and Direct Marketing Insurance. The incumbent develops and maintains computer applications and generates relevant and accurate financial reports.
Assist in delivering medium sized departmental projects, both new and enhancement of existing processes. Design, develop, and support local computer applications.
Support the calculation of Creditor and Direct Marketing earnings.
Support the department in producing of monthly financial and business reports.
Develop efficient and effective processes, policies and procedures as necessary to obtain financial information.
Assist in ensuring the data integrity and accuracy of all reported Creditor and Direct Marketing financial information.
Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of all information contained in Internal Earnings for the Creditor & Direct Marketing block of business.
Provide technical guidance and systems training to coworkers.
Design, develop test plans and strategies to identify and resolve system problems.
Ensure proper documentation exists for all the supported processes and applications.
Qualifications and Competencies:
University graduate with concentration in Business/Accounting.
3 to 5 years experience as a Business Analyst.
Minimum 1 year experience in financial reporting.
Analytical and problem- solving skills, provide proactive solutions.
Expertise in database management, MS Access, VBA, SQL, MS Excel (macros and pivot tables a must), Visio.
Demonstrated technical aptitude and proficiency with numbers.
Well organized and detail oriented with high level of accuracy.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong customer service and relationship building skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines, flexibility to accept change in priorities when faced with urgent requests.
