We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time, permanent Team Lead, Retention & Recruitment to join our growing team!
Reporting to the Director, Membership, Insurance, and Programs, the Team Lead, Retention & Recruitment provides strategic and operational leadership related to the development, planning, and implementation of programs pertaining to the SMA’s Rural and Regional Practice Committee (RRP), and the Specialist Recruitment and Retention (SR&R) Committee. This work is accomplished by overseeing the coordination and administration of the RRP and the SR&R activities and programs and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
This position is based on-site at our office in Saskatoon, SK, with a voluntary hybrid work option allowing remote work from home up to 2 out of 5 days per week, subject to approval under our Hybrid Work Arrangement policy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assists the Director, Membership, Insurance, & Programs in leading, planning and coordinating the RRP and the SR&R Committee strategies and programs aimed at retaining and recruiting physicians.
- Serves as a resource and provides administrative/technical/programming support to the RRP and the SR&R Committee as required.
- Collaborates with multiple health care and government stakeholders to understand talent needs, sourcing strategies, and support program development activities.
- Assists in framing and solving complex program issues by providing in-depth analysis including evaluations, reviews and reports of existing programs and processes.
- Provides reports, statistics, research, and recommendations for program areas, along with documentation and supporting processes to the RRP and the SR&R Committee.
- Conducts research on leading practices and emerging trends; conducts needs and gap analyses; identifies and/or recommends new initiatives and programs.
- Works collaboratively with the Director, Membership, Insurance, & Programs to develop and manage proposed and future operating budgets for all relevant program areas. Assists in development of the annual budget planning process and monitors monthly expenditures.
- Leads and provides day-to-day direction and supervision to direct reports.
- Continually strives to identify and collaboratively implement service/process/program improvements.
- Implements approved changes to services/processes/programs in conjunction with the Director, Membership, Insurance, & Programs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director, Membership, Insurance, & Programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Human Resources, Business Administration, Education or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in program management and/or physician recruitment and retention, with at least 3 years experience in a leadership or team lead role.
- Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with boards or committees is an asset.
Salary
$90,613- $122,678 per annum commensurate with experience.
