Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, and tire rotations
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs efficiently
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues
- Assist with vehicle assembly, parts replacement, and system upgrades
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and dealership policies
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs
- Conduct inspections to identify potential mechanical issues before they develop into major problems
Experience
- extensive mechanic background
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately
- Experience with vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and system troubleshooting
- Knowledge of automotive systems such as electrical, braking, suspension, and engine components
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in various positions for extended periods

Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour

- Auto tech: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Nova Scotia MVI Tester license (required)
