Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Head Barista to lead our coffee service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a deep passion for coffee and food industry standards. As the Head Barista, you will oversee daily operations, ensure high-quality beverage and food preparation, and maintain a welcoming environment for our customers. Duties
- Lead and train baristas and staff to ensure efficient and friendly service
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks following established recipes and standards
- Oversee food preparation and handling in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage cashiering duties using POS systems such as Micros POS, including cash handling and transactions
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of the work area in accordance with food safety protocols
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and ingredients, placing orders as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Maintain accurate records of sales, transactions, and daily operational reports using basic math skills
- Uphold food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Assist in developing staff schedules to optimize coverage during peak hours
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista with strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage customization
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in the food industry preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS for cashiering and cash handling tasks
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in serving, food preparation, and general food service operations is highly desirable

Pay: $15.00-$21.00 per hour
