Demand Planner / Allocation Analyst

Recrute Action provides quality recruitment services by providing support and a personalized approach for both job seekers and businesses. We are currently looking for a Demand Planner for one of our clients in the field of home furnishing supplies located in Montreal-North.

Our client is a leading manufacturer/importer of home furnishing products. Their division specializes in a wide variety of ready to assemble furniture that brings both comfort and value to every living space.

The Demand Planner / Allocation Analyst will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the Demand Solution Forecasting Tool and managing the data, as well as allocating goods to customers. This position requires strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process. Good facilitation skills are required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Function as the administrator and super user of the Demand Planning System (DSX)
  • Train users to use the system effectively;
  • Create statistical forecasts:
  • Gather, analyze and validate data
  • Prepare statistical forecasts for use in the sales forecasting process
  • Review resulting statistical forecast
  • Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting
  • Manage the data used by Sales forecasting team;
  • Prepare and support the Forecast Review Process by providing reports and data to be used for the review;
  • Follow up with all participants to ensure actions agreed in the forecast reviews are completed in a timely manner;
  • Create various reports to measure forecast accuracy, identify significant variances and other reports we can extract from the forecasting system;
  • Maintain demand planning system and software
  • Enter and modify data and ensure the correctness of product / customer hierarchy
  • Responsible for customer inventory allocation/inventory feeds – reviewing reports and updating systems accordingly;
  • Help with other miscellaneous duties assigned and any ad hoc duties as requested by management.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Analytical, numerate;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills -detail oriented;
  • Analyzing data in an ecommerce environment;
  • Knowledge in Supply Chain;
  • Understands financial impact of forecasting and related decisions;
  • Must be flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment;
  • Participates with colleagues in a team;
  • Experience working with forecasting system is an asset as well as in an E-commerce environment
  • Proficiency with software systems including Sales forecasting application;
  • Strong in Microsoft excel.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year
