Operatate heavy equipment to maintain the grounds throughout the park. This position is a night shift and requires candidates to work from 12:00am - 9:00am.
This position pays $18.50-21.50 per hour.
Operate heavy equipment related to specific elements of the property maintenance program in either of the following areas:
Site cleanup (street scrubber, vehicle mounted hot water pressure washer)
As required, and with appropriate training, operate machinery to assist in the implementation of other property maintenance programs, including site washdown/recovery (pavement washdown, waste handling/recovery, litter control, pressure washing, general cleanup) or turf maintenance (mowing, trimming, seeding, sodding, fertilizing, aerating, topdressing, irrigating), vehicle/equipment maintenance (cleaning, sanding, hand painting) or other duties as required
Ontario Secondary School Diploma is preferred and minimum two (2) years’ experience in the operation and routine preventive maintenance of various types of heavy commercial equipment in a commercial, municipal, or golf course setting
Minimum of 18 years of age is required to be considered for this posiiton
Familiar with Occupational Health & Safety Act required
P.R. Basic Rescuer/First Aid is an asset
Valid Ontario Driver’s License (class G/G2) with a clean abstract
Able to meet the physical requirements of the job including: bending, lifting, utilizing hand tools and working in various weather conditions
Able to work cooperatively in a team setting
Work a flexible, rotating shift schedule (7 on 3 off, 7 on 4 off)
Ability to work 12:00am to 9am during the full time operating season, averaging 40 hours per week with frequent overtime
