Position Overview
We are seeking a confident, professional Receptionist & Patient Care Coordinator with strong private consultative selling and billing experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing healthcare environment, understands how to educate and guide patients toward appropriate services and products, and can manage front-desk operations with efficiency and warmth.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Administration
- Greet and check in patients with professionalism and warmth
- Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and scheduling optimization
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinic documentation
- Process payments, issue receipts, and manage daily reconciliation
Consultative Selling
- Confidently present and recommend clinic services including physiotherapy and massage therapy
- Educate patients on treatment plans and benefits of ongoing care
- Promote and sell clinic products such as braces, compression stockings, and rehabilitation supports
- Identify patient needs and provide appropriate service/product solutions
Billing & Insurance
- Process private payments and health fund/insurance claims
- Handle invoicing, account follow-ups, and outstanding balances
- Ensure accurate billing procedures and compliance with clinic policies
Telephone & Communication
- Professionally manage high-volume incoming calls
- Convert inquiries into bookings through effective communication
- Respond to patient questions regarding services, pricing, and availability
- Handle sensitive or complex conversations with discretion and care
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a private healthcare or allied health clinic preferred
- Proven consultative selling experience (healthcare or service-based industry highly regarded)
- Strong billing and payment processing experience
- Excellent telephone etiquette and call-handling skills
- Confident promoting healthcare services and retail products
- High level of professionalism, empathy, and emotional intelligence
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with clinic management software and Microsoft Office
