Overview
We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist & barber to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients look and feel their best, with strong skills in hair styling and customer service. The Hair Stylist will be responsible for providing high-quality hair services, maintaining a clean and sanitized workspace.
This job will start as a part time 2-3 days a week and transition into a full time in a Luxury Retirement Living 55+ but also open for public.
Must be able to work well with Seniors. Must be a Sub Contractor and available over the weekend.
Pay: Commission
Experience: hair styling: 3 years (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, treatments, and special styling requests
- Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable styles or products
- Maintain strict sanitation and cleanliness standards in all work areas and tools in accordance with health regulations
- Upsell retail products and additional services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere and addressing client needs promptly
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and processing payments
- Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and products through ongoing education and training
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barber license as required by state regulations
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and retain clients
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices in a salon environment
- Ability to upsell retail products tactfully to enhance client satisfaction
- Experience with retail sales and front desk operations is a plus
- A friendly, professional attitude with a passion for the beauty industry

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
