Position Overview
The Meat Depot is seeking an experienced and motivated Truck Manager to oversee fleet operations, supervise drivers, coordinate vehicle maintenance, and support transportation logistics. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery operations while continuously improving routing and scheduling processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support all company drivers, including future integration of R&S drivers.
- Coordinate daily transportation operations, dispatching, and route planning.
- Assist the logistics team with routing improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Manage fleet maintenance, inspections, repairs, and service scheduling.
- Conduct weekly vehicle inspections and ensure fleet readiness.
- Monitor compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
· Support daily delivery operations as required, including GTA routes and product transfers.
Weekly Responsibilities
Monday
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of all company vehicles.
- Identify maintenance requirements and coordinate repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance.
- Review fleet performance, driver concerns, and operational priorities for the week.
Tuesday to Friday
- Complete assigned delivery routes (primarily GTA routes or other designated runs).
- Remain available to support drivers, address operational issues, and coordinate product transfers as needed.
- Monitor routing, scheduling, and dispatch activities while identifying opportunities for operational improvements.
Qualifications
- Valid DZ or AZ Driver's License.
- Experience in fleet management, transportation, dispatch, or driver supervision.
- Strong understanding of commercial vehicle regulations and safety requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
