JUNIOR MAINTENANCE WORKER
Nordic Minesteel Technologies (NMT) is currently looking for an enthusiastic Junior Maintenance Worker to join our team. This role offers a great opportunity for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspecting, repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting of various types of machinery and equipment (presses, welders, front end loaders, lift trucks etc.)
- Maintain essential building systems
- Perform general ground maintenance, including snow removal, grass cutting, trimming and upkeep of outdoor areas
- Respond to maintenance work requests and record all repairs
- Work with and oversee the work performed by contractors
- Requisition of maintenance supplies and services
- Ensure proper scheduling through the applicable software program for preventative maintenance
- Document daily maintenance reports
- Ongoing skills upgrading to keep up with changing technologies
- Maintain a self-motivated, positive and outgoing attitude
- Operate the equipment in a safe and efficient manner
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous experience in general maintenance, landscaping or related work is an asset
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Basic electrical tasks/skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Valid driver's license (travel between sites)
- Ability to operate lawn maintenance equipment
- Basic safety awareness; WHMIS or other safety training is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
