Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly personable and passionate Bartender and Server to join our front-of-house team. This unique role involves both crafting premium beverages behind the bar and delivering exceptional table service on the floor. The ideal candidate is not only highly skilled in their craft but genuinely invested in guest experiences, knowledgeable about Canadian cuisine, and excited to contribute to the continued growth of our restaurant and team.
Key Responsibilities:
Hospitality & Service Excellence
- Deliver warm, thoughtful, and engaging hospitality to every guest, whether at the bar or in the dining room.
- Create an exceptional customer experience from greeting to farewell, with attention to timing, detail, and guest needs.
- Maintain a genuine enthusiasm for sharing our story, including knowledge of ingredients, regional suppliers, and our culinary philosophy.
- Uphold standards in service while fostering an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff.
Bartending & Beverage Service
- Mix and serve signature cocktails, wines, and spirits with technical proficiency and creativity.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar.
- Follow AGLC guidelines and uphold responsible beverage service.
Dining Room & Event Support
- Provide efficient and knowledgeable service for dinner service.
- Manage tables, take orders accurately, and communicate clearly with the kitchen.
- Assist with managing reservations upon arrival or over the phone, as necessary
- Build strong relationships with patrons, suppliers, and fellow team members.
Operational & Team Contribution
- Work with consistency and urgency in a high-paced, detail-oriented environment.
- Support daily setup and breakdown duties, and uphold all sanitation and safety standards.
- Take initiative in supporting team members and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
- Engage in ongoing training and contribute ideas for continuous improvement and growth.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a bartending and/or serving role, ideally in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment preferred
- ProServe certification (required).
- Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities.
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to stay composed under pressure.
- Personable, articulate, and confident in both guest and team interactions.
- Invested in both customer and staff experience — a wholehearted individual who shows up with integrity, empathy, and professionalism.
- Strong verbal communication skills and comfort with menu storytelling and supplier transparency.
