Position Overview:
The Team Attendant is a member of the Departmental team and is assigned to work with members of the care delivery team to provide support to patients and patient care staff. The Team Attendant is responsible for contributing to patient flow in the assigned departments by carrying out portering duties, stocking and maintaining supplies and equipment, assisting regulated staff and performing various housekeeping duties. You may be scheduled at the Birchmount or General hospital, or satellite dialysis sites.

  • High school Diploma
  • Demonstrates excellent English reading, writing, speaking and comprehension skills
  • Physical capabilities to perform duties as outlined in the physical demands
  • Proven ability to perform in a dynamic, fast paced and constantly changing environment
  • Demonstrates the ability to establish and maintain patience, compassion and a courteous manner in relationships with patients, families and co-workers
  • Demonstrated good customer service and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to accept direction and guidance

  • Excellent work performance and attendance
  • Previous/current team attendant experience
  • Ability to speak another language
