Job Overview
Mission Carrier is looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 City Driver to join our local operations team in Dorval, QC. This role focuses on city and surrounding-area deliveries, with an emphasis on safety, professionalism, and on-time service. You’ll be operating well-maintained equipment and working with a supportive, family-run team.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 trucks for local pickups and deliveries
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Secure and handle freight properly to prevent damage
- Complete deliveries on schedule and maintain accurate logs (delivery times, mileage, fuel, etc.)
- Communicate clearly with dispatch regarding routes, delays, or issues
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Report mechanical or safety concerns promptly
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 (AZ) license
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience
- Clean driving abstract
- Strong understanding of safe freight handling and securement
- Ability to perform basic vehicle checks and inspections
- Good time management, organization, and attention to detail
- Professional attitude with strong communication and customer service skills
