Transdev Canada is hiring Industrial Coach Drivers in Kitimat.
As an Industrial Coach Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, following designated routes and schedules. You will ensure passenger safety and comfort, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times. Adherence to safety regulations and company policies is essential in this role. This is a full-time position.
Your role
- Time management skills: A successful job applicant should be able to meet deadlines in a timely manner despite traffic or route changes.
- Driving skills: Having the skills to be able to deliver passengers safely is extremely important.
- Physically fit: The applicant must be in good physical condition and able to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs (at least lift a fire extinguisher).
- Problem-solving skills: The job applicant should have the ability to solve basic problems that may arise on the job such as traffic or route changes.
- Drivers license: A Driver must have a valid license in the province or territory they intend to work in.
- Flexibility: A good Driver will be able to change their route or schedule to accommodate timelines set out by the company.
- Communication skills: A job applicant should be able to relay any issues or problems to upper management that arise on the road.
- Organizational skills: A successful job applicant should have the ability to keep calendars and appointments organized.
- Maintenance: An applicant will need to make sure that the company vehicle is clean, kept in good condition.
- Perform timely fueling of buses as required to ensure vehicles are ready for scheduled service
- Record keeping: It is important to log oncoming and outgoing passengers helps to keep track of the successful delivery of personnel.

Your profile
- You have a Class 1 or 2 driver's license with air brake endorsement.
- You have 2 years minimum experience industrial site driving.
- You have a clean driver's abstract.
- Minimum two years of experience driving in at an industrial site or driving coach busses.
The location
- This is a unionized full-time position in Kitimat.
- The role requires you to reside locally in one these areas.
- Camp is not provided for this role.
- Average schedule of 40 hours a week.
