As Canada's first domestic supercapacitor manufacturer, we are revolutionizing energy storage with proprietary high-energy-density cells and modular systems designed to deliver exceptional power density, ultra-fast charging, and industry-leading cycle life.
Unlike conventional batteries, Atlas supercapacitors offer exceptional cycle life, rapid charging capability, and industry-leading power density. Our technology is designed to support demanding applications including AI data centers, utility infrastructure, industrial power systems, renewable energy integration, transportation, and next-generation grid modernization.
Atlas Power Technologies is entering a pivotal growth phase as we transition from successful technology validation and pilot demonstration deployment into large-scale commercialization. Backed by industry-leading supercapacitor technology, strategic customer partnerships, and an experienced leadership team, we are scaling our manufacturing, operations, and engineering capabilities to support deployments across industrial power systems, microgrids, and next-generation AI data centers.
At Atlas, engineers have the opportunity to make a direct impact. We value ownership, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. If you're looking to help build world-class clean technology while working on challenging real-world engineering problems, Atlas offers a unique opportunity to grow alongside a rapidly expanding Canadian technology company.
The Role
Atlas Power Technologies is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer, Certification & Compliance to lead certification projects and regulatory compliance activities for our advanced energy storage and power delivery systems.
This role combines hands-on electrical engineering with system architecture, standards interpretation, product validation, and certification leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring Atlas products are designed for compliance from the earliest stages of development while supporting commercialization and deployment across North America.
A key focus of this role will be leading certification efforts for energy storage systems under UL 1973, UL 9540, UL 9540A, and related standards while ensuring compliance with applicable NFPA, NESC, CSA, IEEE and utility requirements.
You will serve as Atlas Power Technologies' internal subject matter expert on energy storage certification standards, regulatory compliance requirements, and product safety.
This is not a maintenance engineering role. You will help define the certification and regulatory foundation for a new generation of Canadian-developed energy storage products as Atlas scales from pilot production to commercial deployment.
