Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate ECE IT professional to support early childhood education programs. This role involves integrating technology into classroom settings, assisting with curriculum development, and fostering an engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, bilingual abilities, and experience working with children or individuals with disabilities. Duties
- Implement and support the use of educational technology tools within early childhood classrooms
- Assist teachers in integrating computer-based activities that enhance learning outcomes
- Support classroom management by organizing digital resources and maintaining equipment
- Collaborate with educators to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate technology
- Provide training and technical assistance to staff on computer operation and software use
- Support children’s development through tailored activities, especially for those with special needs or disabilities
- Maintain accurate documentation related to technology use, student progress, and program activities
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that encourages children's curiosity and learning
- Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and community partners regarding program activities and student progress
Experience
- Proficiency in English; bilingual skills in French are highly desirable
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including classroom experience
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration and documentation
- Computer skills including operation of various educational software, hardware troubleshooting, and digital resource management
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Leadership qualities with the ability to guide staff and support team development
- Time management skills essential for balancing multiple responsibilities within a dynamic environment
