Purpose:
We are currently recruiting for a Financial Analyst. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. Day to day partner to the Business Line Financial Analysts, Group Reporting and the BSC. Key relationships include the Location finance teams, group reporting / function teams and the BSC.
Responsibilities:
- Complete assigned account reconciliations in a timely manner, highlighting risk and opportunities to the country controller.
- Complete the preparation of group reporting assignments.
- Team member with global finance reporting, functional reporting, tax, treasury, multi-location initiatives and ad hoc projects to improve controls and the efficiency of the finance function.
- Ensure auditable compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements and achievement of sound corporate governance and compliance with The Way, WorleyParsons policies and IFRS.
- Complete various regulatory statistical reports.
- Prepare audit schedules for both internal and external audit.
- Provides monthly balance sheet risk assessment based upon account reconciliations and balance sheet fluctuation review.
- Participate in cost savings initiatives and process/system improvements.
- First level bank transfer approvals.
- Calculate/Provide burden rates for proposals.
- Maintain auditable overhead rate standards for US government projects.
What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:
- Excellent understanding of relevant local statutory/tax legislation, accounting standards, and internal and external compliance requirements.
- Publicly traded large company experience.
- Expert technical understanding of GAAP and IFRS; maintains the highest professional ethics and standards.
- Familiar with ERP and BI environments, specifically Oracle and Hyperion.
- Incumbent will be expected to contribute to statutory reporting processes, compliance with Global Reporting standards, and system and process improvements.
- Recommendations will have an impact on commercial offerings and ability for the Company to comply with local statutory and tax regulations.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Required:
- Diploma in Accounting or Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business.
- Applicable accounting designation or working towards.
