Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our production team. This role is vital in ensuring the accurate and timely movement of goods, supporting efficient warehouse operations, and maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
The ideal candidate will have experience in order packing, and shipping & receiving processes, with proficiency in relevant equipment and systems such as forklifts & reach trucks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive shipments from suppliers and customers
- Pack and ship orders in an organized manner
- Organize and store inventory efficiently within the warehouse to facilitate quick retrieval and accurate stock levels
- Maintain detailed records of shipments, receipts, and inventory movements
- Clean shop in spare time
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all loading, unloading, and storage activities
- Support inventory counts and cycle counts as needed to maintain accurate stock levels
Experience
- Previous experience in shipping & receiving or warehouse distribution is preferred
- Experience operating forklifts and reach trucks is highly desirable; certification preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of order picking, order fulfillment, packaging, and load & unload procedures in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills necessary for accurate inventory handling and order processing
- Warehouse experience involving e-commerce logistics or distribution centers is a plus
This role requires a proactive individual capable of working efficiently within a team to ensure smooth warehouse operations. Candidates should be comfortable operating various equipment safely while maintaining attention to detail throughout all tasks.
Pay: $18.50-$22.00 per hour
