This position requires someone who can multi-task to a high degree. The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Bookkeeping and payroll preparation;
- Preparation of regular external filings such as GST, PST and T4’s
- Preparation of Notice to Reader and Review Engagement working paper files including all required forms, draft financial statements and corporate tax returns
- Preparation of personal tax returns
Our Ideal Candidate will have the following:
- Bookkeeping and Payroll experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills and phone etiquette
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to help others
- Extensive working knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Word)
- Proficiency in Simply accounting and/or QuickBooks
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Be prompt, efficient, reliable and highly organized
- Detail oriented with a strong ability to multi-task
- Must thrive in a team environment
- Experience using Caseware and Profile will be considered an asset
Compensation is hourly and based on experience and includes a medical benefits package after 3 months. We offer great flexibility in working hours and every weekend in the summer is a long weekend!
