The Accounts Payable Specialist will provide accurate and timely support to the finance department through completing full-cycle accounts payable and assisting with general administrative duties. You will be joining a highly motivated and cohesive team of professionals including our Director of Finance, Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, Manager of Corporate reporting, and our Payroll Accountant.
The position is full-time, permanent.
Completes the full accounts payable cycle including coding and posting invoices, processing cheque runs and preparing account reconciliations.
Verifies & processes expense reports and credit card expenditures.
Performs month-end and year-end accounts payable accruals.
Provides ad-hoc accounts receivable support, posts daily cash receipts, and uploads invoices into customer portals.
Accurately files accounts payable and receivable documents for the department.
Performs other accounting and office duties as required.
Education in a related discipline combined with previous work experience in a similar role.
Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of honesty, integrity and to deal with confidential information.
Highly proactive with the ability to work effectively independently.
Strong analytical skills, accuracy, attention to detail and reconciliation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Intermediate skills with MS Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational skills and customer service skills.
Knowledgeable in Sage 100 is an asset.
At present, Delta-Q continues to work in a hybrid remote work/office work model. Safety protocols are in place to ensure employee safety.
