Are you a class 1 driver tired of being away from home, spending too much time sitting in a truck stop? How about eating at home or sleeping in your own bed everyday? We are looking to fill a local position we have for a class 1 driver for our current haul season (approximately April through November, weather depending). We haul pit run (unprocessed gravel and sand in tridem clam dump trailers for a local stockpiling operation just northwest (15 minutes) of Edmonton. We currently have a new opening on our night shift. A brief summary of the job consists of arriving at the shop on site, travelling to mining area (approximately 15 minutes away), loading in the mine, travelling on a dedicated haul road to the "trap" to dump (approximately 15 minutes from the mine), returning to the mining area for next load. Drivers do between 10-18 loads per day depending on the mining block the haul is coming from.

We Require:
-3 years driving experience
-clean 3 year commercial drivers abstract
-a clean, punctual and reliable individual with a positive attitude
-ability to work with others
-off-road driving (gravel roads) an asset but willing to train right individual,
-comfortable handling overweight loads (we haul 50Ton loads, all trips are on haul roads, no on paved roads or city hauling)
-able to competently use a manual transmission (18 speed)
-able to pas a pre employment drug and alcohol test
-2 work related references
