Job Summary
Join our team at Cotton Inc., a leading concrete company in the Niagara Region. We are seeking a reliable and experienced DZ Ready-Mix Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will safely operate a heavy commercial truck equipped with an auxiliary concrete mixer, delivering quality concrete mix to various commercial and residential job sites across the region.
Duties
- Safely operate ready mix trucks to deliver concrete to various construction sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and equipment.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Ensure proper mixing and delivery of concrete according to project specifications.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations during transportation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and construction teams regarding delivery schedules and site requirements.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on trucks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Requirements
- Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- 3+ years of ready mix truck experience required.
- Experience in construction or concrete forming is preferred.
- Ability to drive a large truck safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to transporting materials and working around construction sites.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation.
- Physical ability to load/unload materials, lift heavy objects, and work in outdoor environments.
- Prior experience operating mixers or similar equipment is a plus.
