Your tasks at a glance

You are the master of keeping our tools clean and sterile.
-
You receive, sort, disassemble, decontaminate, clean, assemble, wrap, sterilize, and store instruments.

You keep accurate records of sterile items.

You make sure to rotate stock (FIFO) and reprocess outdated supplies.
-
You are patient and can stand for long periods of time, while doing repetitive movements and remaining focused on tasks.

You adhere to sterilization standards and ensure that they are met on a regular basis.

You will be cross-trained in other technical roles such as Surgical Assistant & Clinical Assistant.
A clear view of your assets

Your experience in the health care field is considered an asset (ex: optometry assistant, orderly, nurse, dental assistant, pharmacy lab technician, sterilization assistant, animal health technician assistant, etc.).

Your Sterile Processing Technician certificate or Medical Device Reprocessing Technician course (MDRT) is NOT required but is considered an asset.

You have a definite interest in the field of health and high-tech devices.

You have a sense of responsibility and take your role seriously.

Schedule: You have flexible work availability from Monday to Saturday (start time between 7:00 am and 8:00 am).

Required: You are comfortable traveling for training and work to other locations in the Greater Toronto Area.
