Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Certifying Technician to join our SAMHSA accredited Forensic Toxicology Laboratory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for
1. To review results from immunoassay data and relevant Quality Control data and associated documentation to ensure that the results meet quality standards.
2. Follow the laboratory’s procedure for quality control, reporting, releasing maintaining records of patient test results, compliance, and documentation and testing of proficiency testing samples.
3. Adhere to the laboratory’s quality control policies, document all quality control activities and procedures to the review, interpretation, and reporting of results
4. Maintains patient confidentiality by keeping the laboratory information confidential.
5. Applied knowledge and skills to produce quality work and facilitate meeting TAT goal.
6. Understands how to fill out a certification worksheet m for every batch analyzed.
7. Assists in training fellow certifying technicians and other employees in the interpretation and reporting of results and applicable departmental processes. •
8. Assist in completing the review and verification of assay validation work.
9. Participate in employee training for review, certification and software.
10. Identify and resolve quality control issues; accurately enter and report test results; and remain current on lab standard operating procedures. •
11. Provide appropriate feedback to the lab management in order to assist in maintaining an accurate SOP. •
12. Perform all other assigned duties as instructed or required.
Qualification required.
1. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
2. Strong work ethics
3. A BS in Science (Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology or any allied health related field).
4. At least 2 years of working experience in a clinical or toxicology laboratory. Pharmaceutical or chemical industry or academic lab experience will NOT count.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
