The mandated of Global L&D is to develop and execute a global learning strategy in partnership with both global and member firm leadership that huilds the capabilities needed to achieve kPMG's business strategies and priority annual business goals.
Our Global Strategic Plans require a consistent KPMG-wide approach to building the skills and competences needed to transform our business and achieve our goals of Growth and Trust. Global L&D works closely with the business to identify/design/curate, develop, coordinate and deliver high quality, efficient and effective learning and performance support solutioins directly aligned to KPMG's needs and requirements.
Global L&D is responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of the L&D strategies for:

Global Audit, Global Tax and Legal, and Global Advisory
Global strategic cross-functional opportunities

We work with the business as performance consultants bringing together member first to identify and design programs critical to support our global strategy in the most effective and cost-efficient manner. The audience for the performance and learning solutions provided by Global L&D is very diverse and encompasses all employees of KPMG globally - partners, professionals and support staff.
Solutions include performance and knowledge management support, formal training (both digital, virtual and in-classroom), learning on-the-job opportunities and learning through collaboration with others. Program execution and design take place where it is mosst logical to occur and can include uplifting member firm solutions and co-creation with direct member firm invovement. As part of ourmissiong, Global L&D works with the business and member firm L&D teams to continue to build and strengthen a continuous learning culture including channels for both format and informal learning.
This also includes identifying and implementing new and innovative approaches to learning, such as leveraging new and existing digital learning solutions and appropriate learning and collaboration technology platforms with support from Global People Technology and Information Technology Services.

The Program Manager reports to the Projeect and Resource Lead and is responsible for managing and supporting one or more programs within the Global Learning and Development team. You will be responsible for leading and managing the projects within that program and projects may range in size from simple projects with a single deliverable to complex projects with many deliverables and dependencies. This role is responsible for organizing and monitoring inter-connected projects within the program; defining controls and/or adhering to controls in place from the broader KPMGI PMO; plan overall program roadmap, defining program goals and monitoring progress against the goals. You will be required to build and maintain project plans in Clarizen including scope, tasks, durations, work effort, dependencies, budget, planning assumptions, resource allocation and deliverables. You will provide communications to relevant team members, schedule and host regular project team meetings documenting outcomes and actions and updating project plans as applicable. You will enable and support program strategies and objectives. You will also provide Sponsors with escalation support of project issues and resolutions. You will ensure clear KPIs are defined and tracked, prepare dashboards and reports for the projects and program as required and deliver to Sponsors.

The role requires some flexibility to work irregular work hours to accommodate multiple time zones and manage work in a global environment.

What you will do:
Program management

Manage one or more Programs, including the projects within the program from end-to-end following project management best practices; applying consistenty project management standards and quality assurance using Clarizen.
Schedule, host regular project meetings, setting the agenda, taking and sharing meeting notes and outcomes and following up on actionable items.
Translate business strategy, roadmaps and lifecycle recommendations for Programs.
Project planning, stakeholder management and managing the successful delivery of the Programs' output to ensure alignment against program goals.
Organize and monitor inter-connected projects within the program, identifying and ensuring interdependencies are identified and raised to the respective project lead.
Define the program governance, considering appropriate stakeholders.

Schedule and drive regular project meeting calls with project team and Sponsors, setting meeting agendas, taking meeting notes and following up on actions.
Update and maintain RAID log.
Create, update and maintain Clarizen project plans.
Communications to project team members, sponsors and leadership as appropriate.
Maintain project documentation - Governance, Roles and responsibilites, scope and approach.
Manage ad hoc projects as required.
Secure project resources as required.

Continuous improvement

Following project management best practices, recommend process improvements and help drive change management of process change.

Project reporting:
Weekly status updates to project team and stakeholders
Issue reporting and resolution
KPIs to track program and project success
Prepare project dashboards and reports as required

SMEs

Vendors
Other resources as required

Coaching and mentoring:
Mentoring and coaching of junior project managers
Providing guideance to greater GLD team on project management best practices

What you bring to this role:
8-10 years experience in program and project management in large, complex programs
Experience working in a complex international and diverse cross-cultural environment, ideally with experience in a professional services firm
Capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong leadership skills with teams and people development skills, role modelling, ethical and collaborative working and able to foster a creative and inclusive working environment
Comfortable with complexity and finding a new path or solution coupled with strong business acumen
Confidence in working in an ambiguous, constantly changing environment and prepared to be responsive and flexible
Strategic thinker with analytical and decision-making skills
Excellent communicaiton skills with the ability to articulate clear, compelling ideas, confidence and effective interacting with, and crafting leadership/executive-level communications to senior business partners
Valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certfication
Strong client service orientation
