Job Summary: Crane Operator
You are a Journeyman Red Seal unlimited tonnage Crane Operator with experience to support us on industrial oil & gas sites, projects, as well as local taxi work. You are willing and able to learn, grow and teach apprentices. Looking for a new operator to be an integral part of the Capacity Truck & Crane family.

Essential Responsibilities
- Must be able to operate all makes and models of LinkBelt, Manitex and Liebherr cranes up to 200 ton.
- Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections, complete Hazard Assessments, logs and reports as well as notify appropriate personnel for maintenance concerns with equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers, management and dispatch
- Fill out and understand an equipment logbook and Pre-Trip inspections
- Be able to understand and follow all safety principles, practices and capacity load charts
- Ensure the safe operation of equipment, safety of the crew, and environment
- Willingness to learn and be adaptable
- Willingness to teach and train our apprentices
- Ability to react under pressure and show critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Skills & Requirements
- Preferred 5 years+ experience
- Experience with working on construction projects and in town taxi work
- Must possess a Red Seal certification with a recognized provincial training authority with unlimited tonnage certificate
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
- Must be punctual and dependable
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s license with air
- Clean drivers abstract
- Must live in the Fraser Valley or Lower Mainland, or be willing to relocate
Work Conditions
- We are offering $51.72/hr for this position, as per the IUOE 115 agreement.
- Yard located in Aldergrove, BC
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Some out-of-town availability an asset
- Monday to Friday with some weekend work
- Benefits include extended medical, dental, Pension, PPE Allowance, Long Term Disability, Life Insurance,
- Overtime: Time and a half after 8 hours, double time after 10 hours as per IUOE 115
- Capacity Crane has a full time Service Technician
- You will primarily be running our brand new Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2 and LinkBelt HTC 8690
