Farm Property Manager – Part-Time Contract

About the Property
We are a private 125-acre farm property in Bloomfield looking for a skilled, self-motivated individual to help maintain and improve our land, facilities, and equipment. The property includes a swimming pond, gardens, wooded trails, chicken coops, and various outbuildings. This is a hands-on role with a wide variety of tasks — no two weeks are the same.
There is a lot of room to grow with us. This position is a lifestyle and we are looking for someone who feels at home on our lovely property.
Responsibilities
- Firewood processing: cutting, splitting, and stacking
- Trail maintenance and clearing
- Chicken care and feeding (barn cats included)
- General property maintenance: painting, grass cutting, gardening, and seasonal tasks
- Tractor and equipment maintenance and basic mechanical repairs
- Carpentry and general repair work around the property
- Heavy lifting as required (firewood, plywood, building materials, etc.)
What We’re Looking For
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Carpentry skills and hands-on building experience
- Mechanical aptitude — comfortable maintaining and troubleshooting tractors and outdoor equipment
- Physically capable of heavy lifting and sustained outdoor work
- Reliable, self-directed, and takes pride in their work
- Comfortable working independently on a rural property
