Job Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Chemistry Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop a strong foundation in chemistry through engaging lessons, hands-on learning, and real-world applications. The teacher will foster curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry while creating a positive and supportive classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach middle school chemistry courses to students of varying academic levels.
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with curriculum objectives.
- Explain chemical concepts clearly and effectively through demonstrations, experiments, and interactive activities.
- Prepare lesson materials, assignments, quizzes, and assessments.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Encourage scientific thinking, problem-solving skills, and active classroom participation.
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment, particularly during laboratory activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and academic success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of middle school chemistry curriculum and scientific concepts.
- Previous teaching experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for education and student development.
- Patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable to different learning styles.
- Native or near-native English proficiency is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching certification or relevant educational credentials.
- Experience teaching chemistry in an international school, private school, or enrichment program.
- Ability to design engaging laboratory activities and inquiry-based learning experiences.
- Experience working with middle school students.
